[In Chapter 9, Dan and Mike are trapped in a wooded area by two large, dirty men. Clarence, the larger and dirtier of the two men, has tied Mike's hands behind his back and then to a tree. Vince has forced Dan to the ground.]
Vince took his large, grease-stained hands and separated Dan's cheeks. "Yep, this is gonna be real, fur sure fun."
"Hurry up. I wanna play with him, too," said Clarence.
Dan was no match for the strength and power of Vince. And, with Mike watching, Vince's rape of Dan was short and painful. Dan screamed and called for help. No help arrived. Then, Clarence took his turn with Dan.
"Well, fag boys, we had a good time," Clarence said. "Next time you come up here to this part of Ohio, let us know and we'll have a little dinner and then let you entertain us."
Vince walked back to where Dan was lying and sat down on the ground beside him. His hands caressed Dan's butt. "You got one fine bottom. I'll remember you a long time," he said.
"Get away from me you slimy bastard," Dan shouted.
"Oh, you like to talk dirty, huh?" Vince said. "Be careful, fag boy, I might take you back to my house and keep you locked in the basement. And, when ever I want to have a little butt play, I'll just come down in the basement and play with you. You'd learn to like ole Vince. You'd give up this boyfriend of yours and you'd have a real man for a lover."
"You wanna take him home with you?" Clarence said. We could leave the other one here and just take the one on the ground home with us. He'd keep us company, entertain us, might keep us warm at night. Whatta you think?"
"Not a bad idea. Not bad at all," Vince said, looking from Mike to Dan. "No, let's leave 'em here. He liked it so much, he'll be back for more." With that Vince and Clarence stood. Vince walked over to Mike who was still tied to a tree. He forced his fingers between Mike's lips and then into Mike mouth, until Mike gagged. Then Vince kissed Mike. When the kiss ended, Mike spit.
"Don't blame you for spittin'," said Clarence. "Vince don't kiss real good. I'll give you a kiss you won't forget." And, Clarence kissed Mike and held his lips on Mike's while his hands explored Mike's body.
"Yes, fag boys, you're fun. Hope to see you boys again real soon." And, Vince and Clarence walked out of the small clearing and were gone.
When he could no longer hear their footsteps or their laughter, Mike spoke, "You ok?"
"Hell, no, I'm not ok. It was rape in case you didn't notice. Rape by those filthy idiots. I want out of here." Dan stood slowly and started to dress.
"Untie me," Mike said.
Dan seemed not to hear Mike and continued dressing. "I did that to a man once," Dan said quietly. "It was rape in any man's book."
"Please untie me," Mike pleaded. "Let's go. I want to be home. I want to give you a bath and to hold you."
Dan turned to Mike. "Sorry, Mike. I got to do some thinking. I need to be alone. I'm going to leave you here to do your own thinking." With that, Dan picked up Mike's clothes and walked out of the clearing.
"Dan, don't leave me here. Those guys might come back." Mike struggled with the cords that held him to the tree. He stood completely nude, with his back to the tree and finally worked the rope loose and slipped his hands free. He rubbed his wrist to get the feeling back into his hands. With his clothes gone, Mike started walking down the hill back to the picnic area.
[Dan has left Mike and taken Mike's clothes. Mike, still nude, walks toward the picnic area. Mike wondered if Dan did rape someone. He wondered who it was. Readers wonder if what goes around comes around.]
