If this text is not surrounded
by purple, then your browser will
not be able to show you many of
the pages at this site as they
     should be seen.

Unfortunately, not all Web browsers recognize
the html code that would make a TABLE or a
TABLE CELL an opaque color over a tiled
background image. This makes all of the pages
that have high contrast backgrounds impossible
to read. One thing that will help is to use
your mouse to select the text on the page.
This will make it stand off the background.

If after clicking here, you don't get a little
nauseated, your browser does not support
animated gifs either.

Another important factor is the color
depth setting of your video card.
You may be viewing this in only 16
different colors. In which case it
will look pretty yucky. 256 colors
is significantly better, but so called
"High Color" -- 65,536 colors, or
even "True Color" -- 16.8 million colors
is the only way to be sure you are getting
all of the colors to be seen.
Check your display driver information
to find out what your color depth settings
are.

Microsoft Internet Explorer 3 (+)
If you are using AOL with Windows95 and you
still don't see all of this, you need to get
the very latest version of the AOL software.
It has a new Web browser with it that shows
html code exactly the same as
Microsoft Internet Explorer.
