very heartened a few years ago when I attended the formation meetings of the group Visions. Over fifty percent of those attending were women, and this looked like a great chance to to bring some cohesiveness to Our Community. Alas, not even 6 months after the group was founded you could count the number of female members on one hand, despite the fact that that the first president was a woman.
