that turns their system into a Web surfer and there are TV top boxes that will do the same thing. Of course with any of these, you still have to pay a monthly service fee to connect. You have no choice as to which service you get. And, a TV screen has nowhere near the picture quality of even a crummy computer monitor. Personally, I think it's a dumb idea. Without a real computer, there are many aspects of online services that would be impossible for you to use. And, a computer good enough to tool around on The Internet might cost $600 or less anyway, and you could use it for a lot of other things as well. It's just another example of the electronics marketing industry trying to keep us all brain dead. Use your mind. Keep up with current technology. Get a real computer! JL :o) |
