What's Up
Issue #21

video game companies makes a game cartridge that turns their
system into a Web surfer and there are TV top boxes that will
do the same thing. Of course with any of these, you still have to
pay a monthly service fee to connect. You have no choice as to
which service you get. And, a TV screen has nowhere near the
picture quality of even a crummy computer monitor. Personally,
I think it's a dumb idea. Without a real computer, there are
many aspects of online services that would be impossible for
you to use. And, a computer good enough to tool around on The
Internet might cost $600 or less anyway, and you could use it for
a lot of other things as well. It's just another example of the
electronics marketing industry trying to keep us all brain dead.
Use your mind. Keep up with current technology.
Get a real computer!                                                    JL :o)
