What's Up

Issue #28
April 25th   1997

Well, the rumor mill was wrong again, Gargoyles is
still intact. We have been unable to speak with anyone
in authority there, but we do know that they are still
in business, and are under the same ownership and
management. Consider that we are better off with
Gargoyles in our community, than not.

C.A.N. needs your help. Volunteers are needed to
help with various outreach programs. Volunteer training
will be held on Saturday April 26th and Saturday May 1st.
Call 375-2000 for more information if you can help.

C.A.N.'s reverse raffle raised $3050 to help in
the battle against HIV/AIDS.

The Easter Basket and Bonnet auction at Adams Street
raised an additional $1000.

Congratulations to all of the staff, volunteer workers,
contributors and artisans who made these events possible.

Congratulations to the Roseto Club's John Wytovech on
his 57th Birthday. Many happy returns to him. Although
flag waving on Main street is not John's style, he continues
to be one of the best supporters of our community and has
helped greatly in keeping What's Up going as a community
outreach publication and we thank both John and Anna for their
much needed support.

There is to be a golf outing (forgive the term) to
benefit the Community Aids Network that is being sponsored
by Larry Williams. It will be in Seville. Call C.A.N.
at 375-2000 for reservation information.
