LONESOME, the centerfold feature of our last issue, and the
loving companion of a PWA, has sadly passed away. All of us who
knew him will miss him.
Rest In Peace.
Prior to doing our last issue, in which we were focusing on
animals, I contacted The Greater Akron Human Society, I spoke
with a very nice lady, and explained who we were, and that we
were trying to do a issue about animals. I offered to print
their donor card in our publication to help them raise funds
for their shelter. She seemed to say that she felt this would
be a great idea, and that she would contact one of the board
members and have them call me back. Well, no one ever called. I
certainly hope that this was just an oversite on someones part,
rather than just another kneejerk homophobic reaction.
Regardless of the reason though, our animal friends still need
our support, and we urge you to support your local humane
societies.
