Be sure that when you talk about other people who are not present, that you don't say anything about them that you would not tell them to their face. Otherwise, this very act will become an ugly issue for you to have to deal with. It's better to have not said enough...

Children will play a role in a big decision that you will have to make, and you will have to consider them in a way that you never have before. Setting yourself aside for the benefit of others is a good thing sometimes. Someday, something nice will happen to you in return.
