Technology is great, but don't become overwhelmed by it. Remember people, not things are most important to you. If all of your gadgets were to stop doing their thing, where would you be without your friends. Besides, your friends have some gadgets too, that you can borrow.

Alright, so that last big romantic venture didn't work for you. So what! You had a lot of other things on your mind. Next time, you won't have made so many plans, so, there will be much less to go wrong. If you don't even think about it, you'll find yourself right where you want to be.

So, the cold weather came before you were ready for it. Go get yourself a new warm hat and a pair of gloves. Don't forget to get an ice scraper for your windshield. It's going to be a cold winter, and the best way to deal with that is a warm fireplace and someone to share it with.

Impulsiveness can make you jump sometimes when it might be better to think first. Hesitation can cause you to miss the boat. What do you do? Ask a good friend or lover. Advice from people you love will be a big help to you in the next couple of weeks. When no one's around to ask, flip a coin!

Ever have one of those days where everything you touch turns to crap? Well, work right on through that. You'll screw up a bunch of things, but you'll get over it. All that went wrong will right itself and you'll be back on the rails to perfect functionality. Don't get hung up on the tiny details.

Realize that all is not well in the world, but, the meaning of life is to experience the want of something you don't have. Once you get it, you can't enjoy the want of it anymore. People who are wealthy are poor in anticipation of better things. There is not much left for them to wish for.

This is the year to get it all together. To take control of your life, look in the mirror and say we have to do this --every day if necessary. But, remember, actions speak louder than words.

Keep telling those stories that start "When I was a kid". You'll find insight in them as you relate them to others. Those were good years but being older, wiser, and yes, stiffer isn't such a bad thing. Wouldn't it be nice to have known what you know now, back then? Oh well, 20 years from now, you'll be telling stories about the times you're having now.
